Privacy Policy
What SLD collects
- Voice recordings. When you record a take or speak in a session, your audio is sent to our server for transcription and coaching analysis, then deleted immediately after processing. We do not keep audio files.
- Live conversation audio. In Conversation mode, your microphone streams directly from your browser to OpenAI's Realtime API to power the live call. SLD's servers never receive or store this audio.
- Camera — never uploaded. If you enable body language analysis, all video processing (eye contact, posture, fidgeting) happens entirely in your browser using on-device models. No video is ever transmitted, recorded, or stored anywhere. Only the final numeric scores (e.g. "eye contact 74%") exist — and only if you choose to save the session.
- Practice data (accounts only). If you create an account and save a session, we store what you see: the transcript, scores, filler-word stats, coaching feedback, session name, and practice group. Guests have nothing stored — sessions vanish when the tab closes.
- Account basics. Email address, display name, and encrypted authentication credentials.
Who processes your data
- OpenAI transcribes audio and generates coaching feedback. Per OpenAI's API terms, API data is not used to train their models.
- Supabase hosts our database for accounts and saved sessions. Every table enforces row-level security: your data is readable and writable by your authenticated account only.
- Google AdSense serves ads on some public pages of the site (never inside your practice sessions). Google may use cookies to show relevant ads; see Google's advertising policy for details and opt-out options. Your recordings, transcripts, and practice data are never shared with Google.
- That's the whole list. No data brokers, and nobody gets your practice data.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
- Upload, store, or view your camera feed — the code that would do it doesn't exist.
- Keep your audio after transcription.
- Read your saved sessions — row-level security means our own dashboard can't see them either.
Cookies & local storage
SLD itself doesn't use tracking cookies. If you sign in, your authentication token is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in; signing out clears it. On pages where Google AdSense runs, Google may set its own advertising cookies as described in Google's cookie policy.
Data retention & deletion
Saved sessions stay until you delete them. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, sessions, groups, and goals — the database cascades the deletion automatically. To request account deletion, contact us at the address below.
Children
SLD is intended for users aged 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how data is handled, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
